Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this. Rare and important Gothic Revival circa 1860 bookcase dresser made using period 17.

This piece is really quite rare, the craftsmanship is sublime, what you have here is some very old panelling that in the mid-Victorian era circa 1860 was incorporated into this lovely bookcase come dresser. The piece is really quite substantial, its all solid oak, the timber patina is sublime, heavily crafted from all angles, you have Cherub Putti heads, Pugin style Gothic arches, this really is a piece of art furniture.

Naturally it can be used as a dresser display unit or large substantial bookcase, anywhere this sits it commands attention. In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom I saw one small piece of timber missing on the bottom right side, otherwise its all present and correct. The piece is made of two solid pieces, a top and bottom section. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
